As email spam filters get more aggressive, you need to be aware of a few things that will get your emails caught in those filters. In the subject line, don’t use words that are marketing phrases: “Save Now”, “Wow, Must See!” “Click”, “Offer”, “Limited Time”. As Churches, you might use the word “Save” in a Christian sense and still get nabbed by the spam filters. Just be aware of your subject line, keep pictures to a minimum and be as direct as possible. That’s good advice even if you aren’t worried about email spam filters!
