How to Create and Use Worship Backgrounds
12 Comments · Posted by admin in How-To Church Media

Sharefaith has compiled a huge selection of worship background slides that you can use during your church service.
How to download: Once you have selected your desired worship background slide you will see three download options: 1) PNG, 2) JPG and 3) MS Word. Simply chose your desired format/option, download to your computer, and open within the correct program.
Quality (DPI): Most of our worship backgrounds are presented in 150 dpi, giving you ultra-sharp backgrounds.
Compatibility: Our worship background slides are presented in JPEG, PNG and Word format. The JPEG and PNG options are compatible in most bitmap editing software such as Photoshop, Xara, Paint Shop Pro, and other presentation software such as PowerPoint, Pro Presenter, Keynote, Easy Worship, Media Shout and more.
When to use: Most churches use our worship background slides within the context of the worship service. Media coordinators use the slides as backgrounds over which they display song lyrics. Church administrators use the backgrounds as desktop wallpaper. Pastors use the backgrounds to create unique sermon PowerPoint displays. The church design department uses the backgrounds as image stock in creating their own church media.

<< How To Create and Use Worship Video Loops, Mini Movies and Sermon Videos

I don’t see what is included in a membership except the price. Is it unlimited downloads? I have dial up and can only download one pic at a time – is this possible? Do you sell CD’s? Thanks

Hi Box,
Yes indeed. A membership will give you unlimited access to all 34 000 designs, templates, powerpoints, videos, bulletins and clipart. You can download anything you want, for as many times as you want and when you’re subscription ends you are free to keep everything you downloaded. Every year we ad about 3000 new templates, clipart, backgrounds etc. So not only do you get everything there is on the site right now, but everything we put on it during your membership year. I read that you say you only have dialup. That might be a little slow for downloading our videos, but downloading our clipart, backgrounds, bulletin covers, powerpoints and images will be fine.

I am a worship leader and have been using your awesome worship backgrounds for quite a while now. My questions is, how do you make the “Worship Video Loops” continue being a motion backbground with your lyrics to songs ON TOP. I have tried numerous times with different formats and can not acheive this.
Please help! Thank you
Renee`

Hi Renee,
Hope you are doing well. Our motion video background loops we create using Adobe After Effects. My team creates the Sermon PowerPoint, then I hand the animators the JPEGS and they take it into After Effects and animate it into a 30 sec animation loop. The loop is created by not having a beginning or end in the video. This means that the video background animations starts and ends with the same sort of effect so that when you set your video player on LOOP, it will appear as though it seamlessly cycles through the video. Adobe After Effects is an amazing piece of software, but is a bit pricey. That is why Sharefaith does all the videos for you. But if your church has the budget and you have creative knowledge regarding animation in After Effects, then you can take any of our graphics and recreate it into amazing animated loops.
I hope that answered your question.
Be Blessed!!

I have the same problem as Renee, and, from your answer, I think maybe you don’t understand. I’ve seen video loops used at other churches with the song lyrics on top of the moving video. So far, I’ve only been able to put the lyrics on a still background. How can we have lyrics AND video loop at the same time?

Hello Leigh,
Sorry if I misunderstood. To use motion loops with lyrics/text on top you will have to use software that supports this feature. Microsoft PowerPoint does not support text over video. For this to work you can use either of the following church worship software – PC : Media Shout, Media Shout Express, Live Worship, Easy Worship, Propresenter. | Mac: Keynote, Stagetime. You can Google the names and find more information on their related websites . All our motion loops are specifically designed to work flawlessly with any of the above worship software.

Be careful of the trial; it is a wonderful idea, but read the fineprint here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/ee390818.aspx
Copy and paste the address into your brower to see the limitations. Although it is a fantastic idea, there are some limitations. Thanks for the idea, Admin, as I had no idea this was an upgraded function to that software. I’m considering buying it. Thanks again. Mary

UPDATED to your answer about using video and text in PowerPoint !!
GREAT NEWS!!! The new Microsoft Office 2010 suite and PowerPoint 2010 now will let you insert text over video. This is a huge step forward. Now you can still use PowerPoint for your sermons as well as for your video. You can also now go an download a BETA copy of MS Office 2010 from Microsoft’s site. The beta is a fully functional copy that is available till October 2010. Download it, open PowerPoint and try one of our motion video loops. It indeed works !!! YAY Microsoft! You finally listened to your customers !!

Not sure what program you are using to do your lyrics and presentations, but I would suggest you check out Media Shout. May be a bit expensive but well worth every penny. Our church was using Powerpoint for years and switched to Media Shout this year. It is a wonderful program, easy to use and very professional to say the least.
